can we have another programmable voice channel?  I'd really like to be able to talk to just my flight/wingman, while still listening in on talk on the wing level

AMEN! Fourthed...well if that is a word.

Last night was a perfect night for me having a completely different programmable channel. I had to drop off squadron comms and get the other guy that was on to move over to the mission channel. Just so we could communicate as we flew in the mission together.

What about not being able to hear the channels you are not dialed into. I like the information that you get on the range channel alot. Especially when you have several people trying to help you out and clear your tail; but sometimes if you have a large group of squadron members on then you get flooded with information and it gets hard to hear what is needed.

So that is why I loved BattleCom so much. You could sit the flight leaders on the squadron main channel and they could broadcast to all the other channels. Then they were able to flip into and out of other channels and and check on how things were going without cluttering up the entire band by getting people to come to that channel to give SITREP's.

Aye, ditch the "range" channel as an unchangable default. (leave it there as a selectable option for those that like to use it, but the rest of us would like to have the greater utility of being able to select precisely which two channels we are using).  That way, for instance, unit members could tune, say, the squad channel and base, whilst their CO might tune the squad channel and the side-CO.  Or members of a buff crew could set up a channel for themselves, plus one other... etc. etc.
