A random button in the Hangar.

Sometimes I get tired of AH, and I guess many of you do. Always milling around in furballs, or jaboing in one of your selected raids.
Anyway, when I want some more excitement, I toss a dice to select a plane. That lead me to fly Jugs, Il-2's, TBM's and all sorts of planes I normally don't fly.
Even in the  DA I sometimes do this.
So how about having a Random button in the Hangar? You could pick a category (Bomber, Fighter, etc) and press it, - PRESTO, you're on the runway, and if you don't take off, you're Yellow!
How about it HTC? Folks?
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Get yourself one of those many sided gaming dice - one for each catagory of a/c. Make out a list to match the number for each a/c and when you get board take them out and roll them for your a/c.

At around 50 cents to $1.00 a pair it will be much cheaper than having HTC program a "RANDOM" button on the kneeboard. Let them work on new stuff like getting us new aircraft to fly.

love the idea angus.
Default to 100 gas, and random plane/loadout.
It would be fun fun fun :)

I often stare on the list trying to pick something and can't make the decision.

An interim idea along those lines is you could ask for a random plane name on channel 1.  Go with the first plane somebody names (assuming somebody on channel 1 doesn't flame you for asking;)   ).  Not only will you get an idea of a plane to fly, but you will give people a conversation topic on how Al Gore invented that particular plane.  :D
