The War
« on: January 27, 2003, 06:37:17 PM »
Well Well It seems as thought there may be indedd a war in iraq sooner than we think?
I have been doing somethinking on this and i am not sure this war is really needed!
Now before a get flamed for that comment i think i have a right my opinion as i serverd in the Us Army From 1973 -80
I was MOS bravo 4 for those who know what that is hello !and for those of you who dont im sure you will not understand me at all LOL.
First what happend to the people (osama bin ladden) that killed 3k in new york and dc?
Did we forget about them or was it just too hard to find the rat bastard?
Ok on to sodomy insain.
Yes he is a very evil man but why do we (the usa) always have to be the worlds police?
Hell I think N korea is more of a threat to the world then saddumb!
Is it going to be worth it Mr Pres to send all our young people over there and stir up a toejam storm that nobody knows what the outcome will be!!
What is it going to do to the world economy?
What is it going to do in that part of the world that allready hates us?
GEE I guess by wooping there tulips they will come to love us huh?
Look i am a patriot my heart belongs to the good olg USA .
I still live by DUTY HONOR COUNTRY
But is this worth the young lives it will cost to prove a point!
I think maybe we all should pray NOT for war but for understanding.
I mean toejam we put men on moon but cant behave together sad huh.

I'm very impressed at what this administration has gotten done so far in regards to Iraq without resorting to warfare . If they can get the whole thing done without any warfare that would make me a very happy man .

With all due respect rc51, such talk is unbecoming of a U.S. Army Ranger.

Tho you have defended your actions perfectly tc. may i say i find your comments quite becoming of a U.S. Army anything. He is bound in no consieveable way to support the current commander in chief.  if he dissagrees so strongly with bushes policys is it not his duty as a member of a free democracy (are we still ?) to openly resist foolhardy actions of the  military commander of the contry?

he has the right and in fact duty to do so without a dought.

im crappy squid honorably discharged. of no special merit but totaly agree with him.

If i where still in the Army I would NOT question my pres.
But i have been out for 22 years now and I hate to think of young people dying for anything BUT the defence of there country and peoples.

By the way rc51, I do share your concern about the prospect of war in Iraq and the loss of life that will occur. I think we all have some sense of forboding or uncertainty about it. :(

Still, I have confidence in President Bush to lead the way and make the call. I know some vocal people like to trash him, and talk as though the USA should feel self-loathing, but I voted for him because I believe he is a man of principle. So is his administration, in my opinion.

I don't expect to see every fact that leads him to his decision published or broadcasted , but I'm confident that he will NOT send our young people to war without a just reason. I know he is going to do the right thing.

War in Iraq or not, God Bless America and our Allies - because the world has changed. rc51

RgR that my friend.
Look its really easy for all of us to second guess world leaders.
I for one would hate to be Bush right now.
I am not in anyway calliong down my country not at all.
Right or wrong I will support \America in all her trials.
But The thought of a War is upsettting to me.
If we must go to war and die lets do it for ALL the right reasones.
Our military is ready we have really good people young strong and smarter than when i was in.
As much as i hate soodumb insain and would love to see him dead.
I kknow a few things that i will share with you ok.
First to remove saddum we dont need to go to war!!
Seal team 6 and delta 4 could handle it quitly and quickly.
But there would not be any CNN coverage to show the reast of the terrorist nations how tough we are.
This War above all else is to make a point!!
We can KIll you any time any where!!
