CH Pro Throttle USB questions
« on: October 05, 2001, 10:40:00 AM »
Anyone tried that thingy?

I understand that the control software does not work on Win2000.
What would I get if I use it with Win2000?
Would I see the microstick in any way? How about a button on top of it?
How many hats/axes would I see?

I see reviews referring to the 3-mode switch but cannot find one in the picture. Does one of the regular hats act like 3-mode switch?
What about the button on top of the microstick? Which hat is the 8-way one?

Your recommendations on purchasing this device, running it with or more likely without the control software are greatly appreciated.

When you plug it in to your usb port, windows (any) will see it as a joystick, and all its buttons and such.

You won't have the ability to map the ministick to the mouse (or map anything to anything else). but in Aces, now that it supports 32buttons, and a lot of axes and such, using the software isn't a requirement. At least, I'm not using it now (in winME). You will still be able to map the ministick to any other axis that you can map in AH (like views, throttle, rpms, whatever).
