HT, Would it be possible to put an exta view into the film viewer?

The external views are great to an extent and the TRAILS option is perfect for watching your aircrafts flight pattern.

But would it be possible to have a Freelook view.

What i mean is an external view that is not attached to he aircraft your flying, a view that you can move about the screen to get the best possible view of your dogfight.

You do get the kind of view when you eject, all be it that you cant control your movments.

This would be great for helping with flight training and showing new recruits some home made dog fighting vidio.

Think of beeing in a furball and watching everyone from a distance off that is fixed, turn on the trais an wham, perfect example to newbies of how t dog fight do split s's etc.

the kind fo control you have inside the AH terrain editor were you can tilt, pan move.

would also make for some really hot Screeen shots  :)

even if your limited to about 3.0 clicks maximum distance from the target plane or somthing.

Also a follow Aircraft button that you can toggle on and off would be even better, to give a smooth trackof your aircraft whlst watching orm a point in 3D space.

And if possible and i know im asking alot here, a follw plane toggle button that you can shoose which aicraft (freindly or nme) to follow  :)

this would really make thefilm view kick ass.
Somtimes its hard to get the right positioning you want to watchyour movies

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Tell me you will at least think about it  :)

Actually, I'd like a good way to zoom in on NME aircraft and groung targets from bombers.  Sadly, when watching a bomb run in film viewer, you can't see bombs hit because more often than not, the bomber is in the way.

I get this view by starting the film and then emmediately hitting F3, F8, F5 and then F3 again. I can then use the numpad views and the zoom keys to get any extranal perspective around the plane that I wish.

It would be nice to get just one key to do all that however.

I think HTC is currently working on a new film viewer for AH.  A couple weeks ago HT was asking around for Vfilm and a version of AirWarrior which it would run on so he could demonstrate what he wanted in a film viewer.
