What followed was a typical MA engagement, with 14 kills being scored by the 56th FG. That's what we are all about... some formation work climbing out from a rear field, then get ourselves into the action, support each other, and try to get all our guys out alive. Fun sortie.
Later on we went back to the scene of the crime and stayed a little too long. Got some kills, then got ourselves killed furballing. It's tough to run away in the P-47 when down low.
