I'd be more than happy to pay extra for AH2 if someone could convince me it would keep the majority of the riff-raff out.

The price CAN'T go up.
$15 a month is already above the standard 9.95 for an online game, anything more and people(Mostly the mess of idiots infesting the MA, so it wouldnt be all bad for the players, just HTC) WILL leave.

yes it can, ht can charge 15 for each arena and 24 for both.

That way he earns money off the overall plan (24) but he doesnt loose any if money if folks choose 1 arena over the other.

I am pretty sure ht wants to make money. I could be wrong.

They are in effect 2 games.

9.99 for what online games? wwiiol? that game sux and Il2 (the only other flight sim till targetware gets a product out) and its free for online play.Target ware will be to.

9.99 gets you like 10 hours in wbs3.

But I am sure he will run some marketing analysis and decide whats best.

AH used to 30 bucks a month and it was worth it.

But its best not get worked up over something until we know whats up. HT said he hasnt thought about it yet. At the start of ah it was talked about a seperate charge for events, that never happened.

Am I safe to assume that TOD under AHII will involve one payer account vs two?  That is to say 1 account for MA and another for TOD?

HTC?

I don't think any assumption is safe since HT said it's still up in the air. But the suggestion appears to have merit. ;)

Innominate,

The current standard online game fee is $14.99 as set by MMOGs such as Dark Ages of Camelot.  Even ancient Everquest now charges $12.95 per month.

The days of $9.99 being the standard monthly fee for modern games is long past.

If AH2 keeps the pricing of AH I won't complain, but if it increases to $19.95 or $24.95 I also won't complain.

You're not going to hear us say that we're never going to change our pricing.  That would be shortsighted and we've changed pricing before.  However, that doesn't mean we're planning on changing.  As of now, it's not something we're planning.

$9.95 as a standard price for online games? Im not so sure ths is workable for HTC. They simply dont have the huge numbers of the role playing servers. They can afford 9.95 because they have so many players.

After recently trying everquest I have to say it was one of the most boring and uneventfull online experiences ive had. It makes you appreciate just how good AH is.

It needs to be pointed out again that we pay NOTHING for the actual programme either! Everquest and the others not only get the monthly fees but also the substantial profit from selling the boxed game.

Same with WW2oL which i paid a lot of money to get the boxed game sent from the US.They really screwed me over as far as i was concerned and ive never been satisfied with their servers or their tech help etc.The technical help from people like skuzzy we recieve on these boards is actually pretty unique! I know of no other online game with such swift technical help responses.

Before we demand a price from HTC we should consider what they have given us for free and the help the provide

So basically it comes down to this: WHAT ARE YOU PREPARED TO PAY?

Personally, if the new AH2 is as good as it sounds and the game deserves it, I will pay more to play.
My limit? I think the wall for me is around $30.
The game would have to be something special to warrent the $30 though.
$25? Again it depends on the new AH2 and how it plays but im not adverse to paying this sort of price but like i said it has to offer more to me as a customer.

The way i see it Im prepared to pay more if HTC truelly give us more, and judging by the outline of the new game they are making it will be.Im really looking forward to it now, price i can decide on after ive seen it :)
