Ok Cabby, I guess you already forgot the lessons given at the history classes then. It's quite understandable if you finished it so long time ago.

Aznar's  daddy was a bureaucrat under Franco.  BFD.   Aznar is well-educated, a Conservative, a devout Catholic, he is not "telegenic"(again, BFD), and is considered to possess "above-average intelligence".   Not to mention he defeated an incompetent Socialist government and was re-elected.  In FREE elections.

No wonder you consider him "dumb"............

Btw Cabby, of which origin is your family?

You talk about 'our euros' so you can't be rooted to europe. Are you hispanic, native american or african american or some other origin?

ROTFLBTC!

mrsid2, you understood and you failed to understand at the same time. You did quite well understanding what the USA really is. But you failed completely to understand my post.

You really think the native americans are the core of your society originally? Think again. Or, as I suspect, you won't be capable of such an effort.

Please don't blame me for benefitting from my ancestors conquering land. I'm not from the USA.

Now to the two lines of my last post. I think it was a masterpiece of abstraction, probably not understandable by the small minded reader. I'm sorry I wasted it on the message board of an online game.

I was expressing that an interpretation of "those who sailed from Europe to help create the USA" from the letter fails miserably in at least two points.

"to help to create" as a reason for sailing over is wrong, as you repeated very wordy. Helping others to create the USA is also wrong, because that would imply that there are others to be helped. Not explicitly denying their existance was a side blow to those US americans believing they're a nation, where beeing US american is archived by being born there by US americans.

Interesting how oppionions can be similar and still lead to an argument ;)

I read your post as 'our country is where all the smart euros escaped to live to.' It seems I read it wrong. The point I wanted to correct was that originally the events that lead to the creation of USA were merely an effort to find a fast (and safer) logistic route to India.

Devout Catholic...he he...the problem with devouts catholics like a lot of secretarys-ministers(members of sect Opus Dei) of Spanish government is that they want to become to all in Catholic.

Not to mention he defeated an incompetent Socialist government and was re-elected. In FREE elections.

After 13 years of Socialist government in free elections. If your you believe that Spain was same in 1982 that in 1996, you are mistaken.

For USA people: PSOE (Partido SOCIALIST Obrero Español) is Democrats and PP(Partido Popular) is Republicans.

Saludos.

Whats most interesting is who DID NOT sign the friggin thing.  I think maybe it is time we cut off the ingrates from the milch cow and see how well they fare in the future.  Especially the French, they are truly the scum of Europe.

How sad it is that i read that statement which was frankly quite good to see only to have it followed up by a flurry of annoyingly small minded statements from people in here.pretty sad to see.

I really think we need a new forum on this board. Should be called American Envy/Death to America/All Americans are Stupid or something like that, you get the idea.

Bodhi the statement was against the official EU stand, which was to remain neutral untill there was solid proof Iraq doesn't comply with the UN resolution.

It wasn't really appreciated move.
