Frame Rate seems fixed
« on: January 30, 2003, 01:02:46 PM »
After a couple of minutes of ramping up my frame rate seems to lock in on one number.  On maps other than AKDesert it is stuck on 75fps (regardless of how much antialiasing I use or anisotropic filtering!  Even up to 8x and 16x).

I just went to the following system specs:
AMD XP 2100+ processor
ATI Radeon 9500 Pro (128M memory)
DirectX 9

I'm not complaining about 75fps at all... just wondering if something is up with it being constant.  I know others getting higher rates with worse systems and it certainly doesn't stay the same all the time.
I checked and I have the "unlimited" setting on the Aces video settings screen.

It's locked into your monitor's refresh rate.  Change that to something higher, and your framerates will go up.

I run at 1280x1024x32 @ 100.

Check your monitor refresh rate.

If your monitor refresh rate is set to 75 hz.. there's your answer.

You can try and disable v-sync which will then permit your card to ignore the monitor refresh rate.

You may need a tweak program for the vid card to do this
