Stress

I was thinking how crushing the stress must be for Bush. Every day, day in, day out.

The guy must have an inner light.

ROFL!

The guy has a support group within 15 feet of him 24 hours a day.

"stressed"??

LOL!!

It's not as if he got yanked outta college, issued a green suit and dropped in a jungle where a few hundred nasty lil dudes wearin pointy hats are waitin to shoot his bellybutton dead.. and probably will no matter how smart and well advised he thinks he is.  THATS stress.

No, sir; this guy walked into a nice cushy office thanks to his daddys money and said, "lets get something done". Hey, that's cool.. musta been a heluva rush.

Now, true; he's had a few fast balls and curves tossed his way, buy dammit; thats just the nature of the job. Being in the seat of ultimate responsibility means the guys ultimatley responsible.  He'd better be able to handle it, and get it right, or we're gonna toss his bellybutton outta there and give somebody else a crack at it. Hope he can handle the stress? You bet. Can he? I dunno. You better hope he does. I know I sure as hell hope he can...

If he don't, maybe next time we'll pick a monkey thats been in a real 'STRESS" situation and survived. That is, if WE survive.

My point, if you will take a moment, is to compare that stress with my own, or your own.

Its pretty heavy.

Compare Bush's stress with you, for example,  getting ready for work, and your cat coughs up a hairball, and you have to call your boss to tell him you are going to be late for work...

with what Bush faces each and every day.

Yessir.. I know. I just have a diffrent view. I've lived a diffrent life. I've seen people who have more immediate life and death stresses laid on their plate every waking moment of their lives than Mr. Bush has had in his 3 years in the Big Chair.

I'm not trying to insult you or Mr. Bush. Just trying to put his 'stesses' in perspective. Yes; it's a tough job. No, I doubt I could do it better. Yes; some days I'd rather have his problems than mine. ;)

Son, do you have a kid thats a drug addict? Or a family imploding because of finiancial strains caused by family's breadwinner fighting terminal inoperable cancer? Or do yah live next door to the guy who got laid off last year and is now staring the sherriff with an eviction notice in the eye while his 4 kids cling to his pantlegs? You wanna talk stress? Walk the mile in somebody elses shoes..... not everybody in this great land has it 'made'.

'Nuff said, I hope.

I don't feel insulted. :)

I was just thinking about the ridiculas proposition of being in the President shoes in such dangerous times, while on the edge of war.

I'd have to get in better physical condition, change my diet, and I would have to get better spiritually to make sure my walk matched my talk...

... even then, I don't think I could grasp everything. Its a daunting job.

I'd like to point out that not everybody who is evicted feels stress. Many people "work it", if you know what I mean. And so on.

No doubt the reverse is true, too, though.

Still, that doesn't take away from the fact that being President in times like this is extremely stressfull.

I mean "stress" as in - I don't think I could do it.

Yes, it's a daunting task. And when it's over 1 or 5 years from now, he can retire on his ranch while his adoring public builds him a library.

John Q. Public on the other hand will still be in his trench, battling life day to day.

Like I said.. it's all a matter of perspective.
