New Terrain is killer for color blind people
« on: February 06, 2003, 08:13:36 PM »
Can't see dookie.  To many light green colors and brown, virtually impossible for me to see, and I know other color blind people have the same problem.  Anything that can be done to help us out?  Or I am going to court with a lawsuit stating you are not helping out the hancapped people :D :D

Dookie is my daughters dog.

I'll send a picture.

Well to be honest his proper name is Douglas.

He hates me, and I hate him.

We're cool with that me and Douglas..

He barks at me when I come home from crackin the nut and won't let me near him.

We rescued Douglas from a eighty year old lady who wore leopard. He looks like the taco bell dog but weighs in at 14 lbs. His buddy with the leopard lady was a great dane.

Douglas has lived in my house for four years.

He's an prettythanghole.

Yes, Us Red/Green color blind types can't see too well on Trinity.

Oh yeah.. how come there is no snow on the mountains.. even above 20K

The low ground looks like an old sewer too :)

I like the terrain though :)

Fortunately for me...you can discuss these issues with Nate. He designed the terrain tiles...IT'S NOT MY FAULT!!! (ok...meybe just a little :D ). Seriously, I am color blind for green (dam red is dam near invisible on anything green) and the biggest problem I am having is reading the clipboard map. I am going to see if maybe I can't improve it just a bit.

The thing I noticed was that the LA7 color scheme blends into the background pretty well. I had one 300 away and could hardly see him. Of course, I do need glasses now so that may be part of it. Finally the motivator I need to go to the local quick-serve eye shop. I'll even be able to read street signs at night now thanks to HTC :).

1. sorry for all you color blind people out there, but us non-colorblind people wanted a terrain with Fall colors instead of the usual neon green spring colors we are use to.

2. as for the no snow on the moutains, when NoBaddy gave us the map to work on, it had no snow on it...... the original textures we use for the snow were used for something else, so I had to stick with that.

3. the low ground looks pretty cool if you're not color blind.

4. I didn't do the clip board, so I can't help you there........ but it looks fine to me.

OK, shorts changed.....

Color tests are given to military, police and pilots to test ability to recognize warning lights, control tower signals etcetera, sorry to all with the problem.
