ROFL!  I hadn't even seen this thread until until Dickbrain mentioned my name. I do a search of my name (and various alternative spellings) to see when I'm being talked about.

Funked is right! And I am far from being anti-American. I don't agree that guns should be handed out like "Try AOL today" CDs at supermarket checkouts, and I wouldn't want to live in a place in which the only way I could feel safe was to carry a gun of my own. But that does not make me anti-American, and I can tell you that many Americans agree with my stance.

As to some of my threads - just redressing the balance really. Nothing anti-American. American cars were crap. American beer is... well, not to my taste - but now much better now that the microbreweries have sprung up. Some Americans are disoriented when they go abroad. American network TV does have a lot of commercials. But I don't think I have been anti-American. FunkedUp knows that, and he's a smart guy. :)

Funked, I know you are angry about all the slurs against the Raider nation, but you have to realize, your team sucked in the Super Bowl.

Jolly good point FunkedUp.
After all, us Euros and the Americans are ALLIES.
That should be remembered.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Great quote.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Busted :D  I changed it from the Dutch to the French.  That's my favorite line from the whole movie.
