Actually, I'm thinking one of the smaller .45 ACP pistols on the lines of a Colt Officer's model.

Nothing says "Stop!" quite like a .45 ACP. Especially from 2 feet away.

... and the F/A with a .22? Figures.  ;)

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Hostess: "Captain... there's something stuck in the tail toilet door."

Captain: "Dont worry, keep cleaning...."

Damn, truth is stranger than fiction.

Pilot Arrested After Gun Found in Bag

N E W   Y O R K, Jan. 21 — A Northwest Airlines pilot scheduled to work a Detroit-bound flight was arrested this morning at LaGuardia Airport after a loaded handgun was found in his carry-on luggage, authorities said.

Robert Donaldson, 43, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and could face up to 15 years in prison, said the office of Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown.

According to authorities, Donaldson was walking through a terminal used for luggage screening of passengers and crew of both Northwest and Delta Airlines. Officials discovered the Taurus 9 mm semiautomatic handgun in his carry-on luggage.

Donaldson was scheduled as co-pilot on Flight 1191 from New York to Detroit, departing at 6 a.m. He had a permit to carry the gun in Michigan.

Good point.  This airline pilot who had a permit to carry a weapon in Michigan was probably about to hold up a 7-11.  Thank god they caught him in time!

It's amazing a guy would even think of carrying through security. He HAD to know what was going to happen; this could easily cost him his job.

He should have waited until we're all authorized and then taken the training.
