You get given a brand new shineing terrain with all kinds of cool new features, very well balanced and all half of you can do is WHINE about it.

Sirs, I tell you that until you have sweated buckets designing, building, polisihing, error testing, bugfixing a terrain & had it accepted by HTC. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO WHINE!

YOU go pour 3 months of your life into a terrain only to hear people constantly berate you for the sloppy job you did.

If you can't say something nice don't say anything or log off.

And no I am in no way connect to the creator/s, nor was I involved in the AK's Pizza map. But I have learned enough about the TE to respect those who have mastered it.

Damn Ghosth....you are gonna have me getting all misty in a minute...

To be honest, the whine meter has barely shown anything since the Trinity release. This tells me that Wabbit's efforts were not invane. From listening to all the crap spewed about the Desert and asking people what it was that really bothered them, I was fortunate enough to be able to put together a terrain that seems to satisfy the majority of players. With few exceptions, Trinity has been very well received.

I do want to thank everyone for their positive responses. I was in the middle of working on Trinity when the Desert was released and the volume of negative responses made it very hard to continue. Hopefully, the response to Trinity will inspire more budding terrain artists :) .

I personally LOVE it.  The fields are closer together and it makes an all around great map.  Thanks for the terrain NB ;)

Aye - Trinity has had a pretty tame acceptance period.  Everybody likes it methinks.

most of the concerns have been valid, and or expressed in a reasonable manner.  The terrain has some interesting features to it, and some will undoubtedly not like them.

One of the issues is its overall size, which has been beat to death with pizza.  Another, lag, is a valid issue that will be fixed.  My problem, the lack of height detail and dificulty of reading the map, is also being worked on.  What more could everyone ask for?  And I can tell you, this has been the warmest recieption of a new terrain Ive seen in a long time.

Trinity is not even close to being in the same category as the Pizza. It's probably the best balanced, best designed map the MA has ever had.

How does whining about the whiners make you any different from the whining whiners?

Lag seems to be the main complaint but that has nothing to do with the map.

Lotsa opportunities for CV fights on this map. Seeing most of the fights along the water.

It's fun.

in my book ALL maps are good except mindanao, but if i did find a map to be faulty i would use my right to whine.

The fact that i pay for playing the game gives me that right. I would never whine to the designers of the map, but to HTC for releasing it.

If you bought some other kind of software you would whine to the producer if it did not meet your expectations wouldnt you?

You cant care about the feeligs of the makers of a comercial product.

Whining and voicing dislike are two different things.

I personally don't care which map we use.  I still suck too much for it to make a difference.

However, as a paying customer, I will voice my opinion if there isn something I dislike.  If other people dislike it, they should too.  If not, there could be something in the game the HT thinks is a great new feature, but in reality, it could be driving away players.

I won't whine about the anti-whining whiners. :p

Good map. :) Not sure what people are saying about the clipboard, but maybe we need a relief map with different colours to represent different elevations. (?) I had no problems with the pizza, and I think Trinity will be OK too. Glad that it was finished despite the pizza whines. What I don't quite understand is why so many disliked the pizza whereas Trinity has been widely accepted. The two maps address some of the same issues: GV battles allowed to take place with minimal aircraft interference, and fields sufficiently far apart to discourage upping in über planes from the next base (5 minutes away) should another base come under attack. Distance between fields should also discourage the "suicide and re-uppage" repetitive cycle which was starting to turn me away from the game. Whereas many would log off at the first sight of pizza, I would log off when I saw the small maps, and play only when the pizza was there.

And now - we look forward to the Mission Arena! Aces High - a game growing up. :):)
