That'd be excellent...I'm not sure what I'd use the second monitor for in AH, but I've already got a 15" sitting beside my main monitor waiting to do Something!  Maybe it could slide-show dirty pictures while I fly?!?  oooh the possibilities!

F16 Back to Bagdad offered support for a second monitor (monochrome).  It could be used as an MFD.  On a visit to Thrustmaster, I even saw a prototype of an actual MFD that Buzz designed.  Unfortunately, they couldn't get 4" monochrome monitors for a reasonable price and the marketting department thought $800 was a bit too steep of a price for a product that didn't really have a market yet.

Was really a great idea though.  Err... wait.. they did have MFDs in WWII aircraft didn't they?

WWII MFD:

Kinda black and smeary=oil leak
Dark with a plane in full view=Fire!
Wet=raining
bulletholes=under attack

I'm talking about the Mark I windshield, of course, the original HUD as well as MFD.

Yeah...It was a pretty cool idea.  Unfortunately, I've still got one, but haven't ever used it!

Votes "I" for the additional monitor.  Would be able to put the readio and map off on the second monitor, could increase the size of each too.  Say how about a 6 view too

I vote yes

Im flying with a 21" monitor, and got this 15" next to it, just sitting there with nothing to do

I would have been great to be able to put the map and the radio on that screen

You smell that? Do you smell that?
Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
The smell, you know that gasoline smell, smelled like victory.

I would love to set up 3 or 4 monitors.  Use on for a forward view, then 2 more, one on each side for the forward 45's.  Then one more for the panel and text buffer and simulated kneepad.

This would be REALLY cool and imersive.  AND doable with todays current technology.

I suppose there would have to be a limit on which views could be selected at the same time.  It would seam a tad unfair to have the forward view in one monitor and the rear view in another, ... unless there was maybe a rear gunner?

Oh, the possibilities....

Make that 2 bottles of bubbly
Add your bribe to the list!

The graphic eng is complete set up around multiple monitor support. Ever notice the device count line in the video config?

Not sure when I will complete the multiple monitor stuff, lots of stuff ahead of it. But it will be done some day.

Thx for the reply Hitech...nice to know it's on the way - even if it's not for a while!
