Tagged teamed by pair of Ta152s

I'm not the greatest pilot, so let's take that into consideration. I was flying a La-7 into A59 last night at about 10k when I notice a Ta152 on my 3 o'clock low. I roll over and move in to try and get a kill. He turns on me and I overshoot. I pull an Immellman and when I roll back over, there are two Ta152s. I try to get into position, but they both cut under me again. Now they're both chasing me on the deck. I think I pulled two more Immellmans to try and get in position without success. Anyway, they got me back down on the deck and eventually shot me down.
My question is I thought Ta152s weren't very manouverable on the deck. I don't remember who the pilot was that killed me, but his skill could have been the deciding factor. His wingman didn't miss a beat either and was right behind him. I thought the La-7 could outrun them easily on the deck, but I guess I was wrong, and I consider myself fairly good "in the weeds".

Thanks for any tips or info in advance.

All of those immelman's must have bled your E pretty fast.  The Ta-152 is IMO very maneuverable.  I've underestimated them several times, and paid for it.

I extended until I had seperation before I pulled any of the Immellmans, so I think that didn't do it. I just thought they couldn't fly that fast on the deck.

Get rid of the wing tanks first on the 152 and its a Dora that can turn.  If used correctly it is a fun ride and will surprise most.  It keeps its speed going which can help it get away on the deck sometimes.

The 152 is decently fast on the deck, though it won't catch an la7.

One thing the 152 is great at is diving, it picks up speed unbelievably fast in even shallow dives.

What was the handle of the dude that shot you? did it start with a "W" and end with a "Z"?

If that's it, look no further, I have your felon :D

The Ta152 dives like a meteor, but watch those wingtips... very easy to rip them off if you pull out too hard.

I was staying out of firing range until that last Immellman and then Bongo got to within firing range and I couldn't pull away. I will have more respect for the 152 next time. I actually hadn't encountered one since joining AH four months ago. A lesson was definately learned.
Also, a friendly was above us and I called out for help but he didn't respond(go figure).

The 152 is very maneuverable between about 250-325mph. Below that it still turns pretty well, but it doesn't accelerate very well and you're basically screwed, and above that it's easy to snap your wingtips. In a short turn the 152 can get it's nose around on a spitfire for a pretty clean shot. As for you not being able to outrun it... with wep, it's about as fast as a dora (same engine basically), and it's got a smooth airframe so it holds E very well.

Been flying the 152 a bit this tour.  Had my engine shot out and was able to glide a little better than a full sector with 5000ft to make it to the runway.  Holds E, as stated in previous posts, extreamly well.

Is a nice ride, the firepower is addicting.
Trinity is a good map for this plane, I think I've seen more 152s on the new map than I have in the last 6 months of AH.

You'll see me in this ride more often, especially when the Rooks are out numbered!!!
