I'm not certain, but I think the guys with all numbers for names are actually playing in like some computer gaming center like those XS4ALL or whatever places.  They're not regular subscribers like the rest of us.   Can anybody confirm?

I have to agree with this yokel. Many times I couldn’t give 6 call because name was….unpronounceable. If a person is a regular subscriber, change your name to something easier to pronounce. HT will not mind, its not that hard to change date base IMO.

Edit

Why the hell doesn't URL and IMG doesn't work? (Before it did)

Hey they can use any name they want but its kind of hard telling some pilot named (*&2543!(*@& there is a bog on your 6. Its not allways easy to give a auto check 6 when in a fight. I have seen many *&52409&%(^ pilots die while im trying to figure out what to say on radio. So if ya have a handle like !@$(hU3m you might want to think about how many times you have died with no check 6. I mean names like 999000 are easy hey 999 spit 6. But how do you pronounce  ^$(3.t3?

Just my opinion I could be wrong.

Well,
I have to point out that when I created my 1st account , 3 years ago... the registration form is not that clear (it says something like: enter your ID <-- Replacing "ID" with "Handle/Player Name" would help).

maybe this has changed since though :o

I figure that these are just the AI pilot bots being "field tested" for the TOD arena. I think some more development work is needed on the AI routines, IMO. :)
