Was unable to invite a new member into the squad, several members was unable also.

I usually use the dot command as it can be done from anywhere - .sqdinvite [GameID]  :)

It is also possible that the person you were trying to invite was already part of a squad-they have to leave before you can invite...

That was the case.  He had formed a 1 member squad with his call sign as the name of the squadron.

  So with this information, you can belong to only 1 squad at a time.  I was thinking about working with another squad also. But I guess not.

If they are already in a squad, they have to leave that squad. Next after accepting an invite they should leave the arena and then come back in for the database to update and show the new squad information on the roster AFAIK. :)
