Hear ya ...

Sometimes I get in a stubborn mood and give it three or four tries .. but if I never get it off the runway then it's pretty obvious these guys are running a racetrack and there's nothing to stop `em. :D

And here I was, thinking I'd write something similar this morning, inasmuch as I also stamped out in a huff (probably before you did, Jospe).

Last night wasn't like normal vulching, though.  The base that was being capped was the only Axis base within two sectors at the time, which made it a poor pick for capture if the bolsheviks actually wanted to have a fight.  I guess that's what infuriated me, the notion that the CT had become a win-the-war MA event for the evening, rather than the combat arena that we all know and love so well.  Perhaps this is, in part, due to the welcome new blood we've been seeing....takes awhile to get acclimated, I suppose.

Anyway, I apologize for my own bad manners.  Got to see the new MA map, at least.

Heh heh.  Wednesday night was bad for me too in the CT, but it was my own fault.  I had some time and AH is entertainment and I thought I'd pop into the CT to support it and look for some fun fights.  Over and over again I kept heading back into the action which would quickly degenerate into a 3-on-1 or 4-on-1.  The first couple times it was actually kinda fun, but after a while I realized the futility of it and the fight left me.  But then I'd up again and go right back into the fray in my little 109F.  Though I didn't up at a capped base, I kept marching right back into the lion's den and it finally got to me.  Like you, it was my own fault.  I exited the game and turned off the computer and thought, 'that wasn't a whole lot of fun.'  I'm better now though.

Arlo, I owe you a few "'s"

:D

Sorry, Jospe.
Judging from the way you squawked after I popped you on the runway, It must have been my vulch that sent you over the edge.  I did apologize (sort of) on Ch1, but you might have scooted by then.

Yeah, I actually vulched a couple last night -- something I don't do much.  But really, they were more like targets of opportunity than vulches.  I was passing overhead -- bad guy was taking off.  What are ya gonna do?  There was plenty of gv fire to dodge at that point, too, fwiw.

One of the things that frustrated me (I was flying VVS) was that the fight was taking place almost exclusively around the LW/Slovak base, and with the base town, a City, an Armaments Factory, Railroad Station and a HQ all less than a sector away, I felt the deathstar ack was really getting in the way of good dogfights.  It wouldn't have bothered me to see that base (A1?) shut down so the fight would move someplace else.

Anyway, I'm sorry and very ashamed.
