Penn claims breach of oral contract and is asking for $10 million in damages. Bing claims civil extortion and is claiming $15 million in damages.

LOL, in Hollywood even the written contracts aren't worth the paper they are prineted on (at least if you're a writer - actors tend to have better agents and lawyers).

I think this is just his response to the worlds "who cares, you're and idiot" attitude toward his whole crusade.

Heard this yesterday on the radio - apparently there are some laws against "Hollywood blacklisting."  Penn was denaied the part after it was promised to him apparently because the director disagreed with his stance on Iraq.

Steve Bing has countered in his own lawsuit that Penn is "irrational and irresponsible"

If he was fired for his political views, he should sue. And he should win.

You can't be fired from a job you never had.

Think Gore might have a case?

"Breach of oral contract".  Sure, no problem, just produce the document please..... in triplicate.

Was he among those bunch of peace freaks that wanted to volunteer to go be human sheilds?

If so, I'd love to see his final performance trying to catch a Mark 84/2000 pound bomb.  God knows I've sat thru a few of his bombs/films.
