Hey Concho...was anyone hurt by the falling debris? Seems like there were some pretty large chunks of stuff falling from the sky, I'd be surprised if no-one was hurt.

Thank you Tgt and Hortlund, I don't take praise well. It kind of leaves me wondering what to say.

Curval: Belive it or not no one reported being hurt or there house, car, shed, chicken house (regional joke) or anything hit.
the NASA guys said that anything with weight hit running around mach 2.4. there was lots of metal buried into the ground. the most common piece around was the tiles on the bottom of the shuttle, there is a good pic of them at the last of that slide show.
