Mossie - N1K2 with two engines!

I've been flying the mossie for the last couple days and It's a fun ride...BUT...it's not a fighter. I don't claim to be a great stick but I'm not a total zero...well almost not  :). Now my propensity to stay low and T&B isn't exactly a recipe for survival...but I usually manager my fights reasonably well.

I got bounced by a jug while heading out for some train and truck hunting and was suprised how badly I/it did. I reversed into him almost level (he was closing thru 4.5 as I low yoyo'd back into him...to the merge Hi to low...went thru 2-3 loops and followed him as he extended to friendly ack...broke off as we closed watched him reverse...was amazed how quickly he caught up....rev again into him and he zoomed me...broke off and he caught me in scissors...2nd or 3rd hi yoyo did me in...one qucick snapshot hosed me good.

Bottom line is a Mossie can't really manage a co-e fight even with superior position unless pilot difference is pronounced...I maybe could of chopped for a long range shot in vertical but felt I had edge over jug in acc and turnrate.

Seemed like jug out accelerated me ...certainly retained E better in the vertical and outzoomed me on both merges. Also seemed to bleed less E on the lower G higher speed turns.

Agreed.....  and as intruder raiders they quite usually went in packs of 4 (2x2)

tried one (light) at 25k yet over "capping" fighters (not perked ones of course)?
