HT.....

PLEASE!!!!

Give me a runway I can take my time on.....not have to struggle to get into the air 3/4 of the way down to clear the trees at the end.....

Longer runways please.

This is a big problem if the field is at 5k+

longer runways or at least give us some chainsaws

as a bonus...we can use all the wood we get from cutting down the trees to repair battle damaged mossies

Yep longer runways please or look into the treacle tyres that make the Lanc stick to the runway, and yes I do use flaps

How about trees that cause a small amount of damage but not cause death, unless you hit them nose on. Clipping the top of a tree should not constitute a death. Especially if it was a wheel.

I've been asking for longer runways for quite some time.

Even if longer runways were only added to the large airfields and heavy bombers limited to those I would be happy.

Yeah Karnak that thought crossed my mind too
Large fields with extra long runways being the only place the heavies could launch.
Med fields, medium buffs and jets
small fields light buffs , and fighters

Oh yeah, and "overloads" for fighters such as F4U-4 only available from land bases.
Seen reports of the F4U-4 able to actually carry more than the P47, but only when launched from land bases.

Ya mean this one:

"Up to three 1,000 lb. bombs along with eight 5 inch rockets could be carried. Reportedly, it was not unusual to rig the F4U-4 with as much as 6,000 lbs of ordnance. Apparently the robust structure of the Corsair could bear these loads without undue wear and tear on the airframe. Almost certainly, such overloaded Corsairs did not operate from carrier decks, but exclusively from shore bases."
