Yanks, an apology
« on: February 15, 2003, 11:41:50 AM »
for all the 'anti-American' Europeans out there who've forgotten about WWI and WWII.

I believe differences can be solved by other means than used by these USA=evil sign wielding socialist youths. They're doing terrible damage to us-European relations.

Protest and disagree I agree with, but stupid villyfying I don't. I hope I speak for the silent minority here in Europe.

Santa,

You never cease to amaze me. !
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

By the same token, disagreeing with war does not mean thinking the US is evil.

I think some Yanks on this board should remember that. To them, France=Evil.

Absolutely. It's the other pure BS accusations that go along with it that means that.

IMO.

Santa Thx.  However I must take offense to being called a "yank".  That is a slang term not unlike "jap" or "hun" or even "kraut". I must demand now that you immediately retract that term.

thx you luftwobble...I mean santa

Other accusations are other accusations, not neccessarily really related to the inevitable Iraq war.

Ah, but the two are often found cheek-by-jowl in the same posts, are they not?

True. In the same way as disagreeing with the French position on war often involves the use of BS/deroguetory comments.

But of course, that's just for fun.

See the banner on the photo I posted. I think 'anti-Saddam' means exactly that.

So, the counter is "nyah, nyah.. some Yanks are 'anti-other countries' so some of us can be anti-US"?

That legitimizes the anti-US posters?

I'll ignore the childish description of my 'counter'. I was merely saying there are people from alot of different countries, essentially doing the same thing. I made no comment regarding its legitmacy or otherwise.
