Just to sum up what Blitz said earlier in the thread about Communism, I agree 100% with his assessment, that being...

"Communism is like my golf game, works in theory, not in practice" ;)

Ahoi,

tell ya somethin: The girl i live with for 20 years now got an older brother.
He was a functionary in the DKP (Deutsche Kommunistische Partei= westgerman arm of east german SED (Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschland = Red Socks) for many years.
He's a nice guy and once a year we met when he was visiting his sister.
When we were doin cultural things together everything was ok, but there was no way to avoid the collision the very first evin every time when he starts praisin The DDR, Soviet Union and communism in general.
Normaly he went away a bit earlier then he intended, mad on me ;)

When people of Rumania got rid of Nicoly Ceaucescau he at least had enough of that watermelon and left his party after about 15 years of heavy work :D

The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

My wife grew up in a communist country.. called USSR back then and I am sad err happy to say that communism DOES NOT WORK.  This is speaking from someone whos family was part of the SOviet NAVY and granparents high ranking officals in the Communist Party.

Now, if any of you have taken college level classes on political philosphy and open your minds and read between the lines rather then beeing stubborn and refusing. The following will be realized.

A PURE communism/socialism DOES NOT AND WILL NOT WORK.
A PURE Democracy/Capitalism DOES NOT AND WILL NOT WORK.

In our wonderful USA of . God bless America.. there are many signs of Communism that exist in the governments.

My wife points out many things that reflect Democracy/capitalism existed back in the USSR.

SO if you mix the two together, the best idea of each, you would have a very effective government.  But then again, its all Theory!

Blitz, shouldnt you be concerned over the increasingly severe economic condition in your country?  If I were you, I would focus my effort on curing the domestic problems in my country rather than critisizing the foriegn policy of another state 7000 miles away.

Im sure if you watch the TV long enough, youll see an upstanding citizen holding this sign:

"Will protest for food!"

You are not me. I don't like that : " We are the last Superpower, we can do what we want" attitude.
