These color may help save some time for laying tile textures.

P.S  You could even cheat and help place your SNOW texture by first ( 0 alt ) checking all you water tiles.  Then you could paint the high areas on your terrain where you want snow with black.  Then go into the TE and you see your Water texture above 0 feet alt and then just change them to snow.
