Some Q's Please!
« on: February 17, 2003, 12:32:08 AM »
1.  The text radio only shows 3 lines of text.  I would like to show more.  I know that the (~) key expands it way out.  Is there a way to go from 3 lines to say 5?

2.  Is there a way to "squelch channel 1 without having to type it in each time I log in?

3. On the map, I see circles with c's in the middle.  What do these denote?

4. On the Map, certain fields both enemy and friendly flash.  What does this indicate?

5. The other night I was sure that I was in a collision with another plane.  It was his fault..Of course :)  I survived and flew back to base with a shortened wing?  Is this possible?  To survive a mid-air?

Thanks for any help and info,
Dracon

1. No.  At least to my knowledge there is no "in between" you get 3 lines or a bunch more.

2.  No.  You have to squelch 1 every time you log in.

3. While I'm not sure I think what you are talking about are Cities.  If you check the buttons at the top of your clipboard map one of them is a legend that will explain the map symbols.  Cities affect the rebuild time of strategic targets.

4.  If a field is flashing that means an enemy attack in inbound (not sure how many miles out) and will be at the field soon.

5.  Mid air collisions are tricky.  It all depends on what your see on your FE (front end) it is possible to see a collision on your FE and the other guy flies away unscathed because there was not a collision on his screen.   Some people don't like this but if you think about it it's better than the alternative.  It is often posible to return to base after suffering a mid air collision, some planes are easier to handle sans part of a wing than others.  :)

Tip, you can change the alpha (transparency) of the text buffer so that you can see through it.

open clipboard/GUI (graphical user interface) button/three sliders to ajust the alpha.

Dracon the collision bubble is much smaller here and more in line with the actual a/c then WB.

And it isn't a death sentence as you see. Killshooter here pretty much is..

I used to have a few collisions a tour over there while here I rarely have one.
