"This bill destroys any remaining illusion that the Republican party is the party of less government and reducted spending," says political scientist George Harleigh. "The Republican leadership of Congress has, in less than six weeks, passed legislation that creates the largest government bureaucracy in history, the largest federal spending bill in history and the largest budget deficits in history."

You won't find facts to dispute these truths...

The Republican leadership of Congress has, in less than six weeks, passed legislation that creates the largest government bureaucracy in history, the largest federal spending bill in history and the largest budget deficits in history."

These can easily be found to be true.

Republicans are just a slightly less virulent strain of socialists than the Democrats.

Until we get rid of the Electoral College, the DNC and GOP will maintain their strangle hold on the U.S. govt.

Yeah, and then the highly populated urban areas can have a stranglehold on the US government!

Cool! Bread and circuses, just like ancient Rome! New coliseums in every inner city!

Good idea!

Why do we call the United States a Republic?

:D

James Madison, Federalist Paper 10:

"Hence it is that such democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths."

to get rid of the Electoral College you have to change the constitution , that takes a majority of states, Electoral College protects small states , there are more small states than big states, ...therefore , you will never get rid of Electoral College, not legally anyway.

when a democrat wins , the Electoral College works just fine, it's only broken when a republican wins

thats like the florida butterfly ballot ( designed by a democrat), it worked fine as long as democrats got elected, when a republican won suddenly it was broken.
