AKIron,

So how exactly did Somalia change to better after US visit?

Medicboy,

I hear there was Osama with concentration of Al Qaeda forces..
US didn't give a crap for the people, until a bunch of terrorists, with Al Qaeda links, hijacked the planes and kamikazed at two buildings.

Oh.. and I heard there was plans to make an oil or gas pipe through Afganistan, something which the Taliban regime turned down.

Yes.. americans sure went there with first priority of overthrowing the Taliban and freeing the people.

It was just an easy target with population that didn't support Taliban for worth a crap and the rebels still being fairly powerful.
So freeing population from the oppressors was just a side product, along with an welcome addition for the propaganda machine and which made operating in afganistan far easier.
so.. zero risk to hunt Osama and the not so merry friends of his... along with possibility to later run a gas/oil pipe through the country. :D

Why do think the US should take care of every problem in the world?

Suddam has threatened US allies in the region and threatens the US now. Thats if you believe the hype. If you dont argue that point.

Saying "well there is a Central Afrikan world lord spearing his neighbor so why isnt the US doing anything" is a stupid arguement.

The US doesnt go around invading every country it has "problems" with. Just the ones where they feel it effects their interests.

Is to hard to comprehend?

Basically, so what if Mabimbo spears Timba, even if the US president wanted to send in troops he coudnt sell that to the rest of the US. They can argue that Suddam, if hes allowed to develope wmd, could use them against the US. This is  an arguement people in the US are willing to believe now because they watched the attacks on the WTC. They also saw in the news the panick and fear created by the anthrax attacks and to some degree the sniper attacks in DC.

As for North Korea its a completely different situation. For one NK has "sabre rattled" before looking to get a better "deal". Secondly, China is in a much better position to aid the US in reaching a conclusion with NK then Iran, Turkey, Kuwait or even Saudi Arabi is in regards to Iraq.

Iraq has had 12 years to decide how to play it cards.

BTW I dont support the invasion of Iraq. I just look at some of the arguements made that are in opposition to the US position and see they are made by mostly idiots.

Theres real reasons not to invade Iraq. The "Bush is like hitler", "American Imperialism"," America likes to bully small Nations", "Bush wants to steal Iraqs oil" is  rediculous.

Batz,

Who saying they should.. the thing is that they're SAYING they are taking care of the worlds problems.
.... and in rather selective way.

So it's just to add into argument that why it's all the sudden important to invade country X and tell that it is to get rid of a bad guy and free the people of him - while about always theres something which would benefit US.
Freeing people from this and that guy is just added propaganda, so the congress wouldn't look so bad when invading the country when they have gained lots of support from their people.

If Saddam is so horrible, why isn't those several african and south american dictators then? -Fishu

Because Saddam made his own bed and now must sleep in it.  Had he never invaded, raped and pillaged Kuwait, he wouldn't have had to sue for peace when his army was forcibly removed and he wouldn't have had to sign off on an agreement stating a destruction of his weapons.  But see, he's in violation of that agreement which breaks the agreement of peace.  He created this situation.

No they dont, they say that taking care of Suddam solves one of their problems, as well as benefits the region and the "world" in general.

You can disagree with that, if so argue that. Dont pull some bs "Americans are bullies".
