You know how when you bail and you little guy is on the ground? Why not give that guy a working gun? A rifle. now that would be cool!

I'm curious as to how many fighter jocks actually carried rifles...anyone know? I thought they only carried pistols...cramped cockpit and all.

109s in north africa had a rifle as part of the "desert survival kit".

As for pilots of fighters and bombers....no. They're done after they land.

Just bail out open parashoot, land on the ground, press F3, press and hold 2 on the number pad, and zoom in and you will see that your guy has a gun!!!!!!:mad:

We all know that a bailed pilot has the same object representing it as a paratrooper. No need for pilots to be commandos. Why not campaign for non-AI ground troops (that aren't bailed pilots)? Who knows ... HT may be playing with that idea. But wanting bailed pilots to be "|_33t 5|\|!P3Rz" once they're on the ground is a tad bit much, imo.

Still .... keep them ideas rollin. Just because some (or even all) of us don't agree (or find them funny) doesn't mean you won't come up with a winner.

Shark, you are being silly. Fighter pilots don't carry rifles.

Your comments are based on the fact that the bailed out pilot on the ground has a rifle and therefore should be able to use it.

We disagree. The rest of us would like to see the character model of the pilot on foot changed to something more realistic. Mainly, get rid of the rifle.

Paratroopers from the C47 would have rifles though. That is a good idea to have them be useful as paratroopers.

A Ju-52 would be a nice addition to the plane lineup then. So would a Sherman tank for ground combat. I don't like using proxy vehicles and if we're going to see Axis vs Allies, then their needs to be equivalent equipment. Maybe even model a German cruiser too.
