By this did you mean France has 57,000,000 people or that France has 25mil people and that is more than Cali?

At the last census Cali had 32mil people.  I have no Idea how many people are in France, was just wondering.

What I meant is that the Californian and French economies are fairly similar in size, but that California has half the number of people compared to France, so the per capita GDP figure for California will be approximately double that of France.
