Come on, were these vehicles so crap that they roll over while turning at speed?
Rolling the vehicle on a hard turn at speed was a distinct possibility, particularly with the M8 and M16, which had both relatively narrow wheelbases and high centers of gravity. Imagine taking a pickup truck -- the M8 was about the same size as a full-size pickup -- mounting a camper body in the bed, and then filling the camper with boxes of books. Now picture taking that pickup out on the street, accelerating to 50 mph, and then trying to make a turn at an intersection without slowing down. You're
going to roll the truck. Why is it so unbelievable that you can do the same thing in a GV?
