Because in a collision where you DON'T die, you won't see a collision.  You'll be flying past a guy in a scissors or something and his plane will appear to just burst into flame for no reason.

When you see that happen, it means that, on his FE, he rammed you.

E.g a few nights ago I was chasing a Yak, I was about d75, slightly higher on his 6. He suddnely just pulled straight up and of course I couldn't avoid him. Result, I die he flies off into the sunset with no damage.


On your screen you collided: you die.

On his screen he didnt collide: he lives.
