and sound samples??
I have a story on that.
I had my jeep (small j) parked about three feet from a P-40's wingtip on the flightline during the local Air Guard hosted airshow a few years ago. (ask how I got on the flightline some time) There was an older woman pushing an older man in a wheelchair around, and describing the WWII era aircraft to him, and reading the info sheets to him. He had the dark glasses that you see some blind people use.
She saw my jeep and and wheeled him over my way. I made the finger in front "shush" sign to her and when they were at about six feet I pushed the starter switch with my foot... WhirrRRrrRRBrummmmm and it started. He sat straight up in his chair and said " That's a Golly-geem jeep!"
We talked for a while, he had been in North Africia in WWII. Some nice stories including that he thought that one of his kidneys had been left there during a 300 mile jeep trip to a new base.
So yeh, get the sound of that flathead four right.
