Hit percentage
« on: October 08, 2001, 04:10:00 AM »
Has something changed in the way HTC calculates hit percentage?

I fly the F6F a lot.  When I jabo, I almost always fly the F6F.  Consequently, half the time I'm flying attack missions with fighter checked and vicea versa.  I forget.  :)

Anyway, my freaking hit percentage has gone down the tubes!  Usually, it's around 0.06 to 0.07.  Today, it's 0.03.  What in the world is going on?

YOu shooting things in the towns and depots? Getting Object Destroyed message?

They don't count as hits I think.

Either that or you going blind  :D

yep..
if you strafe ground targets when your mission is being scored as fighter...all shots are counted as misses.that goes for bombs as well.so if you're a score potato, click the attack button.if not, who cares you're getting the job done anyways.unless you are actually going blind  :D

The only "Hits" that are scored for fighter sorties are enemy controled aircraft and GVs/Boats.

In attack mode buildings, ack, ships, etc are included.

Eskimo, let me make sure I understand you.  You are saying: in attack mode, hits on a/c are counted as misses?  You do say that in fighter mode, hits on GVs are ok, right?

If hits on a/c in attack mode count as hits, why fly in fighter mode?

Thanks,
