Will it get dark in 1.03

Just wondering if any one has heard wether it will be dark at all in the new Vir. It sure would be cool to see flashes of light from tanks on the ground and far off dogs fights. With in Flight radar like we have it wouldnt be hard to find somthing to kill if you can keep it in your guns sights long enough.  Or just flying along minding your on Bissness when all of a sudden Ack opens fire on you.  That would be cool huh  huh huh

Check the screenshots on Dogfighter, it gets dark enough...it's gonna be hard to see the con in that light (for the shot, am not speaking about the Icon etc...).

Yes, dark, then tracers everywhere, just like on TV   COOOOL !

Ya, and since there won't be a real night, per se, I was wondering how the transition from dusk to dawn is going to work. Is the sun going to just "flop" over to the east?

Speaking of nightfighting, If late war fighters is what makes AH unique, will we ever see radar equipped nightfighter variants like fw190a6/r11 ? Or is any plane with any kind of independant radar out of the question ?

I think a night period would be fantastic - especially if it had moonlight. think of the stuff you could do - Pathfinder raids dropping flares to illuminate a target, radar hunt a buff and see its shape glinting in the moonlight, tank drives to attack a/f's in the dark, looking for the exhaust flare of the fighter ahead.....

Night fighting sounds cool, but as one who remembers what it was like flying in WB when they had a night, it was totally frustrating. You couldn't see much, and it wasn't as fun as it sounds.

It would be the perfect environment for the Lancaster, though.

If they did do a night time then it should be for a matter of a couple of hours at least, and then instead of rotating every 24 hours, drop it to 20 or 18.  This way everyone will get their chance to fly in the dark IMHO.  (thought - night-time with no dar...    )

Understand what you say banana - I've never seen it in WB but I wonder if todays graphics would do better at producing a good full clear moonlit night - I've flown real a/c on such a night and it's amazing what you can see.
I'd just love to do Pathfinder raids

Night would look cooler in AH with 3D cockpits that would get dark inside, instead of the way it was in WB (we would need illuminated instruments).

However, I think the novelty would wear off pretty quickly in the MA.  Just too hard to find a fight unless you have icons turned on, which would destroy the whole effect.

That said, I would love a pre-dawn takeoff in a scenario.
