Well! I've never seen this before. I don't know who the guy was in the PNZR - or is it a TIGR? I really struggle with computer graphics... Anyway, he was an expert shot, and took out my field gun with a single shot. VH was still up, so I jumped in a PNZR to return fire. I got his turret, so then he drove up to the field - possibly with the intention of shooting the other ack.

The Map Room was between us, so I waited for him to emerge from the left side, when - !!!! He appeared right in front of me, having passed THROUGH the walls of the map room! Not only that, he was firing the pintle at me so I knew he must be able to see me.

Look at the picture. Notice how the smoke from his turret is interrupted near the roof of the map room. But lower down the picture, I seem to have X-Ray vision - except that he had actually passed through the map room!

A bug? A hack? :confused:

BTW - I shot and destroyed the GV after this pic was taken, but no kill credit - not even an assist.  All seems a bit fishy...

I think this is just an example of 'clipping' its just a graphical hitch you sometimes get in 3d games.

your poor graphics card just got a little confused :)

actually as far as i know the map room has always been able to be drvien through without problems...probably a bug

If it happend at v165 I think that panzer was me. I didn't take out ack with one shot IIRC. Took 3-4 for the first one (about 1800 yards I think), then I got the second in first try (must have been this you saw), then started shelling VH. You spawned and started zeroing in as I was keeping pounding the VH. I got it and was about to go for you with AP when you got 1 or 2 hits that took out my turret. I then started engine and raced for the base, eventually putting putting the map-room between us.
I got the exact same view, where your showed through the structure. As I was getting close you even shot through the map-room and hit me? (sounded like a penetrating hit). I reached the base and exited for a land.

I've experienced this "gv visible through buildings" for quite some time. can't remember when it started, it might have been there always.

It seems that your shell caused a crater of damage to the ground, while nearly missing the actual gv, which has no capacity to know the status of the relative ground beneath it.
Warner Bros. did this with a witch's hairpins in a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

Beetle - it might have been me - not too sure becaues I remember killing you with one shot in a Tiger, but don't really know if you really upped again and actually I knew about the GV/map room see-through for a while, just never understood why.

Unfortunately, no one has killed me in a Tiger yet, so I'm lucky so far.

Then again, it might be me in a Panzer, but I don't even know how to film my missions. ::shrugs::

Yep LLv34 - I think it was you, as your account tallies. I was the second ack.

Oh well, I'm sure it will be fixed.

Yep, it's the ability to pass through the Map Room (and shoot through it) that's responsible... twas ever so. I think HTC explained it was necessary to allow the troops to enter it (though I'd prefer they couldn't).  =o/
