SciFi channel is doing a new Battlestar Galactica mini-series, possibly as a prelude to a new series. They aren't doing the Glen Larson thing and continuing the story 20 years later, it looks like they're starting over again.

It was a cool show for one reason. It had 'face' out of the A-Team in it, and in the intro for that show, there was one of the shiny evil robots which he gives a second glance.

Other than that it was pretty crap. I liked it when I was five, but now I'm 24 it's aged like a bottle of vinegar.

Love Battlestar, would've got the DVD box set by now if they hadn't thought to milk the $US dollars first...

I've read a little of the Ron Moore's battlestar and it could be rather bad...Apollo, Starbuck, Boomer are all now call signs ie. John Apollo Doe. The destruction of the colonies and the fundumentals of BStar are different. Starbuck's a women, with a possible love angst thing between her and Apollo etc etc...

So long as they can make Battlestar Galactica 1980 a "bad dream" sequence and not *really* one of the episodes....bleah...

Yea I've been following this Battlestar stuff for some time, there is a real nasty debate between fans wanting Richard Hatch's ("Apollo") vision of what BG should be and Geln Larson's....the two despise one another

There was a big to-do on this on SciFi about a year or two, elaborating the 2 sides opinions.
