got my dog back yesterday... 9 inch cut on his tommy with 2 cuts in his stomach and one in his bowels. He ate his blanket and it got stuck in his system....poor poor pup!

yep I got my cat back a couple of days ago with about a 6 inch long cut in her tummy

spaying..

dunno why they had to cut her so much and make it so ragged

wtf kanth, id take yer cat to another vet to make sure everything is okay.

when my parents got their female fixed you couldnt see anything.

if they made a mistake gimme a ring and I'll help you.....nevermind i think you could inact enough destruction on your own.

seriously man, get her checked out.

mine's 8 years old and was in heat.

a friend of mine at work said they did the same thing to her dog, huge ragged cut...

I'll ask around more, seriously I don't see why it had to be so big a cut. She's healthy altho bald with a big line in her..

Also got my male cats tapeworm medicine from the same vet, that night (2 nites ago) we had to take him into emergency cause he couldn't walk and couldn't see.

I dunno...I don't trust anyone with them, I'm just glad it's over and they are still with me.

Kareful Kanth.. there are vet hacks out there.

Spaying normally leaves no more than a 1-2" scar.. a neatly shaved belly is normal.

A ragged hack in my cat would prompt a very sharp discussion with the surgeon.

a female cat's "junk" can be measured two inches from her stern.

any vet, or person, that hurts a cat beyond a slap on the bumb for fediddlein up really hard, deserves my eternal hate.

What happened to your cat is unbelievable. A six inch cut? Damn that is up near from stem to head.

My sister took a cat to a vet once to get it spayed. The cat was a stray that my brother in law had confiscated from some kids in the movie theater that he managed. The kids had found the cat out back and it was a very young stray kitten but they snuck it in and were causing a disturbance with it. So he took it from them when he discovered it was a stray and brought it home to my sister. After having it for a while they decided to take it to the vet.

After putting the cat to sleep and shaving its belly and making the incision, the vet goes, " what the fek? This is a male cat." Sewed him up and said bring him back in 3 weeks and we can neuter him for you. Then they tried to charge my sister for the botched operation.

Of course, my sister assumed it was a female and told the doc that, but I guess the doc never really checked before he pulled out the scalpel.

kanth you cant be overprotective with a cat.

i live with two cats and they hate this kind of toejam.

That wound, yes wound is infected.

Get that cat to a real vet post haste

here's my question if anyone knows, she was in heat when I had her fixed, she had been in heat for a little over a week.

once she's fixed it doesn't seem to stop her being in heat..

so my question is, is it normal for whatever hormones are in her system from heat to last a while after she has had her ovarian hysterectomy (spay) ?
