Hey Hyflyer,

I just downloaded a program called XnView that can convert a BMP to JPEG, or any other Picture format.

You can download or get more info about it from here .

Good luck!

You can use the regular paint program to change formats, no need for special programs.

open Paint then open your regular bmp pic ..Save it as JPG...by going to File ..Save As..then when the Pop Up save screen comes up ..then u will see "Save type As" scroll down to JPG and save..

I use IrfanView for picture conversion and STOIK video converter for films. Both of them are freeware and easy to use.

If windows paint misses the 'save as .jpg' function, open a jpg picture with it and restart the program. Then try again :)

Paint will do the job if you need low quality jpg conversion (such as to post on this ubb.) If you need decent quality, go for some of the programs described above. Paint will pack the picture so hard that there will be visible artifacts.
