Well said that man!!  Mage and Moggy are both liked and respected by me, and many others.

I also flew AW for more than ten years, and I don't think I ever noticed the MAW. But for the last several years I rarely ventured into the relaxed realism arenas, so I guess I missed them.

I always had fun flying with the MAW guys. 40dogMaw, SlapShot, Mars, Hammer and vspeed have been great to fly with and against. Maybe the problem people have with the MAW guys is more jealousy and envy.

Hey 40Dog, whatever happened to Reckless, Bosko and Red Phoniex?

Any of you guys hear from Ray or Wormdirt?

Speaking of MAW history is Painter still a flamin' Homosexual?

MAW!

That is pretty funny. Especially since there were only 5 of us on, and we were never all in the same place.

Reckless is still around...he flys once in a blue moon.  Bosko moved on to other adventures.  Red Phoniex became RedMAW when we came to AW, and flys pretty regularly.

Ray7 blew a fuse and quit the MAW while we were still in AW...we think he is in AH but not sure.  I'm sorry to say that I don't recall wormdirt.

And yes, Painter still compares technique notes with Jacko. ;) (jk)

Well Gurge, if you are saying that on your squad night that out of a 20+ member squad you only had 5 guys on and they were scattered, well that is pretty pathetic.  No wonder FreeBirds and the MAW were able to take 18, 19, 7, 8, 27, 26, 30, 38, 40, and 42 from rooks in 3 hours on Tuesday night.  ;)

Honestly though, I know at least Gurge and hblair were defending 30 that night cuz they both shot me down. :)  It was a good defense Assassins...but we did have a LOT of numbers to throw at those bases.  I know I fear hitting rooks more than bish cuz of you guys.

Doesn't this kind of braggadacio smack of pre-adolescent playground banter?

I still find it hard to comprehend how anyone could possibly be proud of flying Relaxed Realism.

No offense meant to the MAW's as a squad in general (other than their being a bunch of them, they seem pretty nondescript as a squad in AH. As was already stated, a typical mix of abilites & personalities.), but this post was just rediculous.

Uh, Doberman, I posted this thread to give a little history of the MAW to the rest of the arena.  It is not meant to pat ourselves on the back.  I, myself, would be interested in hearing the history of a lot of squads here.  Too bad all you can find is something negative to say.  I'm glad the moderator, who you have attempted to send a note to several times to relocate this thread, has the good wisdom not to be influenced by you.  Oh and I think your post is rediculous.

Thank you to all who have said good things about us.  Salute and good flying.

Our squad roster is full of inactive accounts. We got 2 or 3 guys in the Navy and they're kinda busy. My old handle is there, and a few guys just diappeared on us.

Even so it was a poor turnout with only 5. Of course, I dont think any of us thinks of the squad as family so its no biggie.

Out of curiousity, how many guys did you have on those raids? On the map it looked like a big red blob, and when i got close everyone got super warpy.

If you speak to them, let them know we all support them and hope for their safe return.

It was hard to tell...I know we had an incredible turn-out for all knights that evening (I recall seeing 243 knights on at one point).  But if I had to guess, we launched 50-60 players (mix of FBs/USMCs/MAW) from one field and attack two targets simulatneously.

BTW, good vulch on me when you were in the Jug...you should have seen me frantically hitting the brakes and clicking "tower - tower - tower". LOL

First off 40dog, I've not sent ANY notifications to any moderators or attempted to get anything done about this or any other  thread.  ( I think it's a great example of the hubris some of you people live with every day.  I'd never want it removed.   I will ask again though, isn't the "Squadron" forum the place for crap such as this?) My previous post is the only one I've ever posted with regards to MAW or any other squad.  You should probably be a little more sure of your facts before making groundless accusations.

The [moderator] [/moderator] is a parody of UBB/HTML code.

BGB, my pilot name is in my sig.  If you can find where I've expertly hidden it in order to remain anonymous, you're more than welcome to send the raving MAW hordes on a dog hunt.
