I do not know where they (MSN) got there information from but they are not even close (the top speed of the SR-71 is still classified and will be for a long time, I will say this though Stall speed on the SR-71 is around 180 Kts (depending on fuel load and which cameras are loaded) and published Top Speed is listed as Mach 3+ that's a hell of a lot more than a 50 kt window.
