Weazel, I don't know where you get your animosity toward christians, and your political viewpoints are always questionable to me, having said that, I'm glad to hear you didn't get hurt in that fire. That's the main thing of course. House fires are freekin scarey. Hope the insurance adjuster is fair with ya man. You did tell him you were running a 3.0 gig CPU with 1024 meg ram right?

Several people have mentioned insurance.... unfortunately, a post by kbman suggests he didn't have any:

He said in his post that he didn't have insurance because it was an old house and no company was willing to insure it. He also said that it wasn't a total loss,several bedrooms and the bathroom as I recall.

                  Thanks for doing the crosspost. I didn't want to muddy this thread with more detail than weazel provided on his own. I have been in this situation with insurance companies before and it's sad and infuriating circumstance. I don't want to get started on my thought's about the business practices of insurance companies so I'll just leave it at that.

The beauty of America is that people are allowed to have "radical" non-mainstream opinions w/out fear of disappearing. Weasel simply excercises to the dismay of many of us, often myself included...lol.
