Slightly OT - I work in Insurance. The notion that we're all evil, bad men that are looking to screw everyone out of settlements cannot be farther from the truth. There are quite a few people in this business that enjoy helping others during difficult times.

There are many factors at work that you dont see which can give one the impression that we're "screwing you."

First and foremost, your Agent/Broker is responsible for recommending a policy with good coverage. If he doesnt do that, you may get screwed.

The Underwriter writes the policy that will cover the Insured based on what the Agent/Broker wants.

The Loss Adjuster recommends settlement or denial based on the policy that the U/W wrote, that the Agent/Broker recommended.

If you are unhappy with your coverage or have the impression that "Insurance companies" (which type of "company" is unknown to me) are "screwing you," Talk to your Agent about having a new policy written - and be sure he knows what he's doing. Its really simple - you figure out what kind of coverage you want and you pay for it. If the loss falls within the coverage, you make a claim. If it doesnt, you are denied.

Well, Weazel didn't get hurt in the fire and that's a good thing. His own fault if he didn't have insurance so no contribution shall be forthcoming from me. I have seen weazel get very insulting and personal on these boards so he's really fair game... for him to put people an his ignore list because they saw an opening and took a shot is indicative that he can dish it out but cannot take it.
With that said... the boards will be a little less abusive for the time he is gone. See ya.

A person that uses personal attacks can expect to get them in return... if he has a problem in his life that people choose to exploit.. tough.. he should have stayed off of personal attacks. Well, I don't think I've ever been known as the "touchy-feely" type, but kicking a guy after half of his house burned up is pathetic and sad. To anyone doing the kicking, I'd say have some respect for yourself. Weazel may be a dipshit (I don't know, I couldn't give a flip about politics or what he thinks of GB), and that may give you the right (at least in your mind) to sink to his level, but then you're a dipshit yourself. As long as you're OK with that, and OK with the fact that you're too pathetic and lack the creativity to give him toejam without taking advantage of a personal tragedy, then hey...I guess that's OK. Carry on.

What level did I sink to regarding Weazel? The strongest thing I've said about him is: the boards will be a little less abusive while he's gone... but Erl is doing his best to pick up the slack.
