Will be from Il-2 drivers upset when they fly level for five minutes, getting boom and zoomed by 10 different aircraft continuously, and GET SHOT DOWN :-)

Going to be an interesting arena dynamic. I suspect the changes to armor rules will make Osties more vulnerable to everything, but make it very hard to kill tanks without a Yak-9T or Il-2.

But I have a feeling that the Sturmovik drivers have wild fantasies of an almost invulnerable AC that won't come true, and there will be massive complaints about it being too vulnerable.

Just my hunch, but I suspect the odds that it's the OTHER way..that people will be whining because it's too hard to shoot down...are pretty low.

Guess we'll find out :-)

you are probly right.   Is it true that the open topped osties will be easier to kill?  that would be cool.  I never could figure out how 30-40 fifty cals. rattling around in that open top didn't kill everyone.

This is great!  I've always thought the "pre-whine" was an underveloped aspect of this board.

I think there should be a price difference in the upcoming historical arena to encourage pilots to populate this ghost arena.

That Tiger tank needs too many perk points to get. WTF!!

The US East Coast terrain doesn't have enough B29 capable fields - especially considering that many, historically speaking, were stationed in Maine.

Hehe - I'm already worried about production issues for Hell Ale. I can only do a batch of 40 16oz bottles at a time and with Ripsnort alone (not even considering Natedog's copious sampling) I'm looking at getting a loan for a 55 gallon bronze fermenter.  The good news is that each batch has to be tested for purity and quality by drinking it.  Life sucks sometimes

The changes to the vehicle armor model will almost certainly make sure that doesn't happen.

Frankly, I think that the changes to the armor model madated that the Il2 be added sothat fliers would have something that would be able to kill tanks.
