A tinfoil hat helps, I think. And putting the computer in the basement might help. I think tractor beams have a tough time getting through earthen berms. Then double the tinfoil for the overhead threat.

Funny you should mention the tinfoil hat...

I was a police officer for 7 years, and we used to get calls on a constant basis from this mentally disturbed woman. She would come up with all kinds of crazy stuff like bombs in her phone lines, and aliens stealing her brain waves.

I suggested the tinfoil hat and she said she didn't want to do that because she'd look funny. So I told her to line the inside of a hat with the foil, and no one would be the wiser. She wears the hat to this day, and VIOLA! No more phone calls to the police.

I guess it really works!!!!! LOL

i would like to correct a popular missconception here , it is not a "tin ' foil hat , it is a aluminimum foil hat , i personally like to use the heavy duty oven strength foil.

i like the idea of putting the foil under your regular hat, sorta lika "stealth foil hat "

Did the same thing while working the info desk one weekend. It really DOES work on cutting down some of the usual "less than stable" cases that call all too often. We got a 6 month reprieve from one frequent caller with this old idea.

Actually it did work. The static from the "air" they qwere reading from your head was immediately cleared up as soon as you put on your lil silver beanie. They were cought unawares in that they thought you were an example of intelligent life and they couldn't raise a signal from ya. Once the hat was on they knew you were really not like blur, 10 bears, miko oor boroda. The hat focused the signal. They never even got one from the aforementioned "persons".
