Laptop function key and joystick views
« on: March 10, 2003, 10:52:25 AM »
I'm playing AH on my laptop, and in order to use the view keys that are normally on the keypad, (back+right etc) require the Function key on the laptop to activate the virtual keypad. I'm trying to use my sidewinder stick with the views, but can't record the keystrokes with the function added. does anyone have a solution to this?

Can't you use the key mapper in Aces High "set up" (on the clipboard) to remap the view keys to ones that exist on your laptop keyboard?

I'm sure this would work.

Ditto what Curval said--I remapped mine to unused letters on keyboard that i could remember---one OTHER thing ya can do--they make a USB keypad that works with win 98 and above---has all them funny lil keys--i stopped usin it on my laptop because it seemed to hog cpu cycles and thus make stick stop workin at most inopportune moments
