This one will affect both gameplay and immersion levels.
When a CV damaged Currently, it will show no outward sign of damage until the last bomb is dropped or torpedo hits.
I would like to suggest that modeling of the ships and guns on the ships be consistent with airfield operations and downed vehicle hangers and fighter/bomber hangers.
I would like to see gun positions shot out or at least on small caliber fire the occupant is kicked out as though killed, and for larger rounds the position is destroyed.
The ships should burn at first, then maybe list, then eventually only PT's and LVT's can spawn to for protection when the carrier is all but destroyed, listing, burning, with the nose down in the water.
This might give more of a visual incentive to defend, and a visual incentive to press the attack. It would create a greater challenge to gun from a deck that is not perfectly flat and level as well as get rid of the indestructible mannable gun position. Once the carrier is disabled, but not sunk, more people might be inclined to drop in a PT to defend something that still might be salvageable.
And of course to effect repairs time has to pass or the fleet can be rushed to a port or somthing to drydock or whatever.
Anyone have any thoughts?
