Sirlion, does that work with windowsXP?  Saw one for $25 and would like to use it with my logitech. How has it worked for you?

Saitek X45 Digital Joystick & Throttle.  The rudder rocker on the throttle is a good alternative to rudder pedals.

I also have the Nostromo and I really like it so far. I just bought one a couple weeks ago.

Here's what I like about it:

1. Works on XP.

2. USB plug only. No messy wires or power plug.

3. Simple to set up. I didn't need to use the profiler utility in AH yet, but I might reconfigure it a little now since I'm used to it.

4. Not to mention that it has 10 buttons plus an extra hat (that I use for full zoom controls with my left thumb).

5. It really was cheap ($29 USD where I bought it from).

- The only thing I don't like is that the throttle wheel (or general purpose analog wheel input) doesn't seem to have as much resolution as the other throttle control on my MS Sidewinder Pro does. But for throttle, it's no problem. I wouldn't use it for a pitch control, however. I you haven't bought one yet, I wouldn't let the thottle wheel res concern you, it's good enough for AH.

I use the Nostromo as well.  Got it over a year ago, mostly for FPS gaming.  Two months later I joined AH and it was a perfect fit.  Had trouble getting the throttle wheel to work at first, but I worked that out and I'm not sure I'd change it even if I DID have the $250 for a Cougar.  At under $30 it's almost impossible to pass up.

Now if I could scrape up the $$$ for a nice set of CH pedals I'd be happy as a clam.  =)

 *edit* Oh yeah, the stick I'm using next to the Nostromo is a Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3D.  $25 on Ebay, only used on Sundays by a little old lady to fly to church.  Damn twisty piece of cr.... by the way, did I mention the rudder pedals I want?

I mean its actually Logitech Formula FFB wheel & pedals for the car driving: GPL & CMR2.

Of course driving pedals are not the best for flying but I have my reasons:
- the prize of the Rudder pedals is bit high,
- aviable space under my PC-table is limited
- I dont want change continiously between flying & driving pedals.

Cougar HOTAS & CH Pro rudder. As backups, I've got a Saitek X36 USB and a Saitek Cyborg 3D USB.

For driving games, I've got a MS wheel.

Somewhere, I've got a MS Sidewinder gamepad, which is cr*p.

Carefully packed away, I have a Suncom stick and throttle.
