Stardog. I never respond to this stuff, but you caught me in a weak moment. Don't worry, my response is civil enough. I suspect you like the attention anyway?
My initial reaction is that high quality entertainment is worth the price of admission - its different for everyone. Your level of entertainment is obviously at another level, so you are free to not spend your money if you get the most out of another form of entertainment.
You cannot deny that Warbirds is a well crafted piece of work. Some people appreciate that.
People spend their money where they get the most fulfillment and AH will fit the bill for sophisticated flight simmers, especially those who appreciate the comradarie of a close community of like-minds. Either you haven't had the opportunity to realize this, or you are simply miffed about something. Bummer.
Was your post a heat of the moment thing, or is this how you communicate? It doesn't appear to be a healthy way to handle things in the long term - e.g. stress-related, heart attack potential, alienation of people subjected to such statements which inevitably compounds the problems of someone in such a condition, etc...
Your post can easily be interpreted by the average person as saying something like this: "I don't respect other peoples' choices. I have a right to publicly call people stupid, even if they could be making wise choices. I can't afford to spend money for online play, so I have a right to berate those that do. I wish I could experience the comradarie of like-minds, but nobody seems to like mine, because of what I say. I am an angry and furstrated person. I need to vent, even if it attacks other peoples' sensibilities. I need help getting along with people."

Don't worry stardog, help is just around the corner. The AH community does have it in its collective heart to offer some humility and kind words when you are ready. But, just like most communities or individuals, we can only take so much abuse. Care to retract that statement about "stupid" decisions of other people? AH is going to be a great place to hang!
